This ultrasound image of a female swordtail clearly shows the unfertilized eggs. A developing embryo can be seen in the image on the right.

These two lyretail swordtails have well proportioned bodies. The body of the lyretail on the right is very reflective giving the fish a metallic bronze-like appearance.

Sunset and black marigold swordtails. These fish are colorful, but more work needs to be done to increase the intensity of the red pigmentation.
